So, there you have it. 50,000 words in 29 days. I’m exhausted but very, very enlightened by the fact that I tried and did not fail. I’m nowhere near completing the novel’s story, but these past few weeks have taught me that I can persevere in a manner that I had not quite thought I was capable of previously. My new goal is to try and have the story complete by the end of 2011, so that I can start the second draft rewrite in 2012 and then move onto editing. Then, who knows, maybe it will be time for a new novel idea for November 2012…bring it on!

  2. I don’t care how many times I tell you what a star you are.

And that I’ll be your slavedriver to get the rest of your novel finished… 🙂

    Well done you!

    • Thanks Neil, I will need some gentle/forceful (delete as appropriate) encouragement now and then, so it will be much appreciated. If I ever get it up to publishable standards, there might be a mention of you in the acknowledgments (providing you keep your word and it gets done!) 8o) x
