It appears that I have been awarded the Versatile Blogger award.
Firstly, thank you to Rewan over at The Hyperteller for nominating me. I really appreciate you passing on the award, reading my blog posts and, most of all, for your lovely comments.
According to the rules of the award, I’m supposed to select a number of blogs that I have discovered or that I follow…However, I spend most of my time writing, worrying about my writing or avoiding my writing and as a consequence don’t really read all that many blogs on a regular basis. But, here are a few that have captured my interest over the past few months:
http://bardicblogger.wordpress.com/ – I really like all the advice and tips related to writing here, in addition to the often very creative pieces being written.
http://pbackwriter.blogspot.com/ – This is one of my regular haunts and I tend to make the time to check for new posts on a daily basis. I love the variety of content and the open candour.
http://www.routinesforwriters.com/ – Regular posts on numerous aspects of writing from different points of view. It’s always nice to know that you have some kindered spirits out there in the world.
I now have to go and nominate these for the award: hopefully they will pass it along and make some more suggestions for blogs I can read myself! It’s been quite nice to follow the trail back and discover some of the blogs who have already been nominated and vary the scope of my own reading for a while.
Finally I am expected to add 7 things about myself – primarily for the individual who nominated me – but I guess also for those of you who might venture over here to read what I’ve written. So, here goes:
1] I love thunderstorms (providing I’m inside watching and not outside getting drenched)
2] I can’t spell surprise correctly without the help of spellcheker
3] I suffer from the chronic illness M.E. (also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome)
4] I have a degree in Egyptology and can read Hieroglyphs
5] I do not want children of my own
6] I’ve only done the washing up once this year (thank god for the fiance!)
7] I own a very scruffy rescue dog called Mac; a West Highland Terrier
