No written words

This week I am the living embodiment of my web address. Work is so busy that I haven’t had the energy to write. I can’t truthfully admit to not having the time to write – because I have had time – but in those moments I have been so drained I can barely hold a thought in my head.
This is what comes from working, trying to write a novel in a month and suffering from a disability like M.E. Sometimes the something that has to give is the writing….but I built myself up a good buffer in the first week or so, and now I’m planning to return to the NaNoWriMo race on target rather than ahead.
I haven’t quit – but I am having to surrender a little to the needs of my physical being. I need rest. Once I’m rested, I’ll still be a writer.
