Awards Round-Up: Check out these blogs

So I was recently nominated for a couple of blog awards. As I think they are a great way of discovering new bloggers and a means to notify those people that inspire you how much you appreciate them, I like to pass on the awards. So, without further ado:

sisterhood-of-the-world-bloggers-awardLily over at lilacasplace nominated me for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award.

Whereupon the rules stated were:

  1. Post the logo on your blog
  2. Thank the person who nominated you
  3. Choose 10-12 other ladies who blog as your nominees
  4. Post the links to the nominees’ blogs and notify them on their blog

Secondly I was also awarded the Super Sweet Blog Award by Rachel across at Spilled Ink.

The rules for this award are:

super-sweet-blogging-award

Mmm…Super Sweet.

Thank the Super Sweet Blogger that nominated you.

  • Answer five Super Sweet questions.
  • Include the Super Sweet Blogging award image in your blog post.
  • Nominate a baker’s dozen (13) other bloggers.
  • Notify your nominees on their blog.

The 5 Super Sweet Questions:

Cookies or Cake? I would have to go with cake. Super succulent, sweet, soft, crumbly cake with cream.

Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate every time. Vanilla is a bit bland for my liking.

Favourite Sweet Treat? Having recently discovered it, Tiffin. (A form of cake-like confection composed of crushed biscuits, sugar, syrup, raisins and cocoa powder, often covered with a layer of melted chocolate.) *yum*

When do you crave sweet things the most?  Late afternoon – that dip between lunch and dinner really gets me.

Sweet Nick Name? I don’t think I have one…how disappointing. Suggestions anyone?

So now come the nominations. I’m bundling the two together to make it less overwhelming and I’m basically providing a list of all of my favourite blogs. Apologies to those guys who think they have been nominated for the Sisterhood. Though we all believe in equal rights, right?

Feel free to accept whichever award you like the best (or both).

    • No probs Candace. Wouldn’t want you to stop posting all your wonderful links and advice anyhow! I need them too much!
Just wanted to let you know how valuable your shared knowledge is. 🙂

    • Glad that you feel honoured. I tend to do them only once in a while. The awards can take a lot of time, effort and coordination so it can be difficult to reciprocate in full to accept. But, I find they’re a great way to share talent and interests and give a nod of appreciation to those bloggers who work hard to share their reflections on life so I can learn from them.
Keep blogging. Really enjoy your posts. 🙂
